This blog’s name comes from the children’s story The Tomten and the Fox, a childhood favorite of mine. In the story Reynard the fox comes prowling around a farmhouse one night, hungry for a meal. The fox would eat the chickens asleep in their coop, but for the tomten who watches over the farm and offers to share his porridge. The fox satisfies his hunger and returns home, and the chickens live to see another day.
